Med4pets cares deeply about your privacy. We therefore only process data that we need for (improving) our services and handle the information we have collected about you and your use of our services with care. We never make your data available to third parties for commercial purposes.
This privacy policy applies to the use of the website and the services accessible through it by Med4pets. The start date for the validity of these conditions is 04/10/2024, and with the publication of a new version, all previous versions become invalid. This privacy policy describes which data we collect about you, what it is used for, and with whom and under what conditions this data may be shared with third parties. We also explain how we store your data, how we protect your data from misuse, and what rights you have regarding the personal data you have provided to us.

E-commerce software
Shopware 6
Our webshop is developed using software from Shopware 6. Personal data you provide to us for our services will be shared with this party. Shopware 6 has access to your data to provide (technical) support, but they will never use your data for any other purpose. Based on the agreement we have with them, Shopware 6 is obligated to take appropriate security measures. These security measures include the use of SSL encryption and a strong password policy. Shopware 6 uses cookies to collect technical information related to your use of the software, but no personal data is collected or stored. Shopware 6 reserves the right to share collected data within its own group to further improve its services.
Email and mailing lists
SendinBlue
Our website uses SendinBlue, a third-party provider that handles email traffic from our website and sends out newsletters. All confirmation emails you receive from our website and web forms are sent via the SendinBlue servers. SendinBlue will never use your name and email address for its own purposes. At the bottom of each email sent automatically via our website, you will find the ‘unsubscribe’ link. If you click this, you will no longer receive emails from our website. This can significantly reduce the functionality of our website! Your personal data is securely transmitted, stored, and disclosed by SendinBlue. SendinBlue uses cookies and other internet technologies to track whether emails are opened and read. Office365
We use Office365 services for our regular business email communications. This provider has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to prevent misuse, loss, and corruption of your and our data. Office365 does not have access to our inbox, and we handle all our email communication confidentially.
Payment processors
Mollie
We use the Mollie platform to handle part of the payments in our webshop. Mollie processes your name, address, and residence details, as well as your payment details, such as your bank account or credit card number. Mollie has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data. Mollie reserves the right to use your data to further improve its services and share (anonymized) data with third parties for this purpose. All the above-mentioned safeguards for the protection of your personal data also apply to the services for which Mollie engages third parties. Mollie will not retain your data longer than is legally permitted.
Reviews
WebwinkelKeur
We collect reviews through the WebwinkelKeur platform. When you leave a review via WebwinkelKeur, you are required to provide a name and email address. WebwinkelKeur shares this information with us so that we can link the review to your order. In some cases, WebwinkelKeur may contact you to provide an explanation of your review. If we invite you to leave a review, we will share your name and email address with WebwinkelKeur. They only use this information for the purpose of inviting you to leave a review. Shipping and logistics
DHL
If you place an order with us, it is our responsibility to deliver your package to you. We use DHL's services to carry out deliveries. It is necessary for us to share your name, address, and residence details with DHL. DHL uses this information only for the purpose of fulfilling the agreement. In the event that DHL uses subcontractors, DHL will also make your data available to these parties.
Invoicing and accounting
SnelStart
We use the services of SnelStart to keep our administration and accounting records. We share your name, address, residence details, and order details. This data is used to record sales invoices. Your personal data is transmitted and stored securely. SnelStart is bound to confidentiality and will treat your data confidentially. SnelStart will not use your personal data for any purpose other than those described above.
External sales channels
We do not use external sales channels.
Purpose of data processing
We use your data solely for the purpose of our services. This means that the processing of your data is always directly related to the assignment you provide. We do not use your data for (targeted) marketing. If you share data with us, and we use this data to contact you later for reasons other than at your request, we will explicitly ask for your consent. In some cases, Med4pets may be required by law to share your data in connection with tax or criminal investigations by authorities. In such cases, we are compelled to share your data, but we will oppose it within the bounds of the law.
Retention periods
We retain your data as long as you are a client of ours. This means that we keep your customer profile until you notify us that you no longer wish to use our services. If you notify us of this, we will also take it as a request to forget your data. This means that we will no longer retain your data beyond two years from the last contact or transaction unless there is a legal justification to do so. Based on applicable administrative obligations, we must retain invoices containing your (personal) data, and we will retain this data for as long as the applicable term lasts. However, employees no longer have access to your customer profile and the documents we created in connection with your order.

You always have the right to restrict the data we process or have processed that relates to your person or is traceable to you. You can make a request to that effect to our privacy officer. You will receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send you a confirmation to the email address known to us that the data will no longer be processed until you lift the restriction.
Right to data portability
You always have the right to have the data we process or have processed that relates to your person or is traceable to you transferred to another party. You can make a request to that effect to our privacy officer. You will receive a response to your request within 30 days.
