Administration
DAC Pharma Infectiemix can be applied during several important periods of the pigeon season, including Breeding, Moulting and Racing. It is essential to isolate the sick birds and keep the temperature of their environment between 28-33 ºC, with dimmed light. Do not only treat the sick pigeons but also consider a preventive course for the rest of the loft. It is important to ensure that the birds only receive medicinal water or feed, without the addition of calcium, grit, or dairy products. For additional support, you can administer DAC MULTIVITMIX and glucose during the treatment. In severe infections, an extended treatment may be necessary.
General dosage:
Cage and aviary bird: 1g/200 ml water
Hookbill: 1g/1 kg body weight or 3g/100 ml water
Period: 5-10 days
Use the measuring spoon (1+5g) to measure the correct dosage.
Note: Calcium interferes with the absorption of doxycycline, so avoid calcium-rich food during the treatment.
